Everyone needs a good resurrection every once in a while. We all do it... we just may not call what we go through a resurrection.
It may surprise you to know that resurrection was all the rage around the time that Jesus lived. Most people are not aware that the Bible contains many resurrection stories. For example, in the Old Testament a widow's son was resurrected by Elijah. (1 Kings 17:17-22) There are stories of a Schunammite's son resurrected. (2 Kings 4:32-53) Then there was one of my favorites of an unnamed dead man's body that was thrown into the dead Elisha's tomb and is resurrected when the body touches Elisha's bones (Kings 13:21).
In the New Testament, Jairus' daughter, another widow's son, and Lazarus were resurrected by Jesus. (Mt 9:23-25, Luke 7:11-15 & John 11:43) Dorcas was resurrected by Peter (Acts 9:36-40) and Eutychus was resurrected by Paul. (Acts 20:9) This is a partial list... there are other resurrection stories in the bible.
About this blog.
This blog is a place where many of the confluences of my life can be shared. I am, at the core, a creative person. I approach everything from that basis... whether composing symphonies, playing the cello, being a serial entrepreneur, writing sermons and essays, flying airplanes, or creating software apps. I am deeply passionate about creativity, issues of social justice, and spiritual enrichment. These are fundamental to everything I do. Welcome to my journey!
